On-Screen Keyboard is the virtual keyboard which can be used through mouse or touchpad or directly with the fingers in a touchscreen. It contains all the buttons available on a normal keyboard. When your computer keyboard becomes unresponsive or damaged, you can easily use this virtual On-Screen Keyboard and use your computer.

A QUICKER & EASIER WAY:
The above process is a complicated one and requires a bit of time. But, there is an easier and quicker way to open the On-Screen Keyboard. Let’s see how.
1. Click on the Cortana/Search icon on the left of your taskbar.
2. Then type On-Screen Keyboard in the search box. If you have a working keyboard, you can type this with the keyboard. If your keyboard has just damaged, you can type this by opening the On-Screen Keyboard by the above method. When you will go through typing, you will see the On-Screen Keyboard option at the top of the result. Now, bring your mouse cursor to that option and right click on it.
3. A menu will come up. Click on Pin To Start option.
4. Now, you will see that the On-Screen Keyboard icon is present in the start menu of your computer. You can open the On-Screen Keyboard now by 2 clicks. First, click on the start button and the second click on the On-Screen Keyboard icon.
THE EASIEST WAY:
The second method you have just seen requires 2 clicks to open the On-Screen Keyboard. However, there is another way which will allow you to open the On-Screen Keyboard by just 1 click. Let’s check this.
Click on Pin To Taskbar option.
4. Now, you will see the On-Screen Keyboard on your taskbar. You can easily click on it to open the On-Screen Keyboard.
