Bangladesh is a country with more than 90% of Muslims. In the holy month of Ramadan, every Muslim wants to sacrifice everything by making Roza/Fasting all day long. They have their last dinner before dawn, which is called Sehri and after that, fast all day up to the Iftar, which is the first meal after Magrib.
During the long hours of fasting, it becomes very difficult to concentrate in the office works in the Government offices in Bangladesh. Besides, people want to have Iftar with their family at home. So, they need early leave from their office.
Keeping it in the account, the officials of Bangladesh Government decided to cut off the office hours by 2-3 hours every year. Alike every year, this year the Bangladesh Government also published the new Office Hour Timetable for the holy month of Ramadan, 1435.
The revised timetable is as follows:
9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. [Zohor Prayer Leave=1:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.]
Friday & Saturday=
Note: This time schedule will be followed in every Government, Semi-government & Private Offices in Bangladesh. Banks, Insurance, Other Economic Institutions, Post Offices, Railways, Cultural Industries, Meals & Factories and other institutions which are very important for public interest will decide their new timetable for the Ramadan 1435 according to their own law. Supreme Court will also decide the office hours according to their own law.
